Over the last five years I have tried on many occasions to discuss my investment account. First of all, it has been extremely difficult to contact my account manager. He was either not in the office, engaged elsewhere or would call me back later. Once, it took me over two months to speak to him. During this time his colleagues did not know who I was nor could they find my details on the computer. When I was able to speak to him, I was informed that I should leave all matters to him, he was the financial expert, my opinion held no value. Despite my repeated efforts to contact Towry and request a 'review' no action has ever been taken by them. Being frustrated by this company, I sent an EMail late in 2011 to inform them that I wished to transfer my account to another IFA, Gerald Crease phoned and told me in an indifferent tone that 'I could anytime I liked' and terminated the conversation. Mr. Crease has retired. I am unable to contact his successor, David Dodgson. A recorded message tells me he is 'not in the office' and the alternative contact is 'not available today'. We are not treated fairly? We have not got to that stage yet, we have not been treated at all.

I have 100 grand plus with towry and havnt seen or heard from advisor in two years.

.. I contacted the Bournemouth office about closing the account as they had failed to honour my request for a statement highlighting their expenses.
I also asked for a cost to close the account, he said £0.00 but without a statement how can I check.

I cannot believe a word they say, so I have little option but to take the hit and close the account and invest somewhere else
